The establishment of the Te Pūia Tapapa Limited Partnership represented a major milestone in the progression of iwi /Māori investment in the New Zealand commercial sector.

The Partnership is a collaborative investment vehicle with credibility and connections that has allowed it to explore commercial transactions with high profile and respected counter-parties.

The Board acknowledges our strong relationship with Te Kaītaiaki Tahua Penihana Kaumātua o Aoteroa (the New Zealand Superannuation Fund) and the real support they provided during the establishment of the Te Pūia Tāpapa Limited Partnership.

The Te Pūia Tāpapa Fund formally launched on 21 August 2018 and this created the limited partnership that brings all the investors together.

During the intensive 18 month period that led to the establishment of Te Pūia Tāpapa, many people invested much personal time and energy. In particular, we acknowledge, Paul Quinn, Debbie Birch, Hinerangi Raumati Tu’ua, Andrew Harrison and Adrian Orr, then CEO of the NZ Super Fund.
