  • Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga, Ngāti Hauiti, Ngāti Apa, Ngāti Rangi

    Debbie has been a professional director and trustee for more than 10 years across both listed and unlisted NZ companies, as well as for a number of māori/iwi commercial entities.

    She has deep experience in capital markets, funds management and financial services with an executive career that spans more than 20 years in Asia and Australasia working for large global banks and financial institutions.

    Debbie is currently a director and chair of WMS Group Holdings (GP) Limited, Sunny Financial Services Limited and a director of Port of Napier Limited, Napier Port Holdings Limited, Hawke's Bay Regional Investment Company Limited, West Coast Bulk Logistics Limited, Westland Mineral Sands Co Limited, WMS Group (HQ) Limited, Greymouth Port Co. Limited, Buller Port Co. Limited and WMS Shipping Co. Limited.

    Debbie studied Chemistry at Victoria University and completed a postgraduate certificate in Investment Analysis at Otago University. She is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors and an Accredited Investment Fiducia.


  • Andrew worked for the Ngāi Tahu Group for six years. Most recently he was Chief Operating Officer of Ngāi Tahu Holdings Corporation (NTHC), a diversified investment company with assets over $600m across the property, tourism, rural, healthcare and seafood industries.

    Andrew’s earlier background includes work in Asia, Mexico and London for Halliburton, culminating in the role of Global Proposals Manager. He began his career as a chartered accountant with PriceWaterhouse Coopers.

    Andrew has experience and skills in capital allocation, mergers and acquisitions, capital structuring and asset performance management.

    Paul is an iwi leader, experienced governor and nationally recognised environmental and Treaty lawyer.

    He has chaired three iwi collectives, comprising some 30 tribes.

    Paul chairs various statutory entities and companies, including the Tūpuna Maunga Authority.

    He has appeared as senior counsel before the Privy Council, Supreme Court and specialist environmental and Treaty courts. He has also served on Ministerial technical advisory groups and is a co-author of the leading environmental law textbook.

  • Te Āti Haunui a Pāpārangi, Ngā Wairiki

    Tracey is currently Acting CFO with Tainui Group Holdings (TGH) returning after 14 years with TGH as the Group Financial Controller and Acting CFO (2002-2016).  Between TGH roles, Tracey was previously the Executive Director of Finance at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa for three years, and most recently CEO at Ngāti Awa Group Holdings Ltd in the Eastern Bay of Plenty for four years.

    Having spent the past 25 years in Kaupapa Māori organisations, Tracey also has governance roles as Chair of Ngā Wairiki Ngāti Apa Developments Limited, Director of Whanganui Iwi Investments Limited and Trustee of Te Ngakinga o Whanganui.

    Tracey is also a Fellow Chartered Accountant and a Member of the Institute of Directors.


  • Ian is a financial and economic consultant.  He began his career in the New Zealand Government Treasury and was involved in several cost-benefit analyses of energy projects.  He has worked in the New Zealand capital markets, mainly with a mergers and acquisitions and business valuation focus.

    Ian has governance roles as a director of the commercial arms of the Ngāti Makino and Ngāti Rangitihi


  • David is a co-owner of Māpua Wealth Limited, an investment consulting firm that advises charitable trusts, iwi and other wholesale investors. He is an experienced company director and trustee, with particular expertise in renewable energy. 

    David spent eight years at the NZ Superannuation Fund, much of it as Head of Investment Analysis. He was involved in
    the infrastructure, forestry, farmland and insurance mandates, a member of the Fund’s investment committee, and led the Responsible Investment team. 

    David previously worked as an economist for the OECD in Paris, the National Bank and the RBNZ. He holds a Master of Science (Distinction) from the London School of Economics and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors.
